About IHAT:

India Health Action Trust was instituted in 2003 as a Charitable Trust with a vision to meaningfully impact the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people by addressing health and social inequities. The Trust is working towards reducing inequities by developing comprehensive and sustainable programmes to improve population health. Since its inception, IHAT has working closely with the Government of India and state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Bihar to achieve public health goals. Our work is focused in areas of prevention and control of HIV and Tuberculosis, in achieving significant improvements in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, improved Nutrition among mothers and children, and strengthening health systems. We use program science to optimise and scale public health programs while partnering with the governments and communities.

Job Summary :

The Inter-Sectoral Engagement work closely with Team leader and assist in day today operation of multi-sector engagement in response to TB.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to State TB Cell for development of evidence-based policies, guidelines, and schemes on multi-sectoral engagement for TB elimination.
  • Facilitate close coordination of State TB Cell with different Ministries and corporate sectors outside the health department.
  • Provide technical assistance for developing training material for capacity building of staff and officers in the different Ministries.
  • Provide technical assistance to State TB Cell in supervision, monitoring and evaluation of projects with and through corporate sector for TB elimination.
  • Capacity building of state programme managers and PPM coordinators, preparing, implementing projects and resource mobilization through Corporate Sector Responsibilities.
  • Provide technical support, oversight and monitoring of financial management of resources available from corporate sector or other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with partnering agencies and organizations involved in corporate sector engagement and inter-Ministerial collaboration.
  • Provide a monthly report and an end-of-assignment report in the prescribed formats on activities, achievements, challenges and recommendations.
  • Ensure optimum output/outcome at district/state level from the Ministries/Departments engaged with NTEP.
  • Support the state in proposal writing to get projects from corporates/PSUs under CSR funding.
  • Perform other duties as required by State TB Cell in the interests of the programme.
  • Any other work assigned by the line manager.
Work Experience:
  • A minimum of +5 years of experience in public health programmes/ projects;
  • Prior experience of enabling Public Private Partnerships with government public health programmes, in coordination with MoHFW, and/or State Health Departments, is essential
Education:
  • Public Health/PGDHM (2 Yrs. Full Time-AICTE approved) / Business Management/ Life Sciences/ Social Sciences, or related subject, from a recognized university/ Institute.

Communication Skills

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and working knowledge of Hindi is mandatory.
